INTO EXPERIENTIAL INQUIRY.
MAKE MORE OF YOUR HUMANITY AVAILABLE.
PARTICIPATE IN A LARGER LIFE.
ROGER VANORO | ONTODELIC INQUIRY™
THE PATTERNS THAT ONCE PROTECTED
YOU BECOME THE LIMITATIONS OF YOUR LIFE.
AS YOU CHANGE WHAT YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM EXPECTS, YOUR WORLD CHANGES WITH IT.
You can understand yourself and still be unable to change. Because the deepest patterns shaping your life aren’t just ideas—they are embodied ways of expecting, protecting, relating, and responding. They tell our bodies what is safe, what is dangerous, what is possible, and who we need to be to belong.
Ontodelic Inquiry works experientially with those patterns, helping the nervous system learn something different in optimal ways. The result is that you become capable of more of yourself. Things that felt inaccessible, now feel naturally at hand. Your repertoire expands. Your nervous system & psyche learns a larger world, a more full life.
“You can’t think your way into a new nervous system.”
~ Moshé Feldenkrais
“Ron, It feels like you’re standing over an infinite dark abyss, but it’s a two foot drop.”

TEACH YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM A LARGER WORLD.
“Having such a confident and sensitive guide as I moved through difficult material was invaluable.”
— Mike Cohen, Founder of Kirtan Leader Institute“It felt like basically a year of talk therapy, just within a session or two.”
— N. Schrimpf, Osteopath Physician“Things have gone a complete 180 with us. Our communication is alot easier. Eye-opening.”
— Jon & Aimee, Couple
BECOMING A STUDENT OF YOUR INNER LIFE
From the first session, I invite you to bring an atmosphere of genuine curiosity and fascination with your subconscious feelings, sensations, and inner life, with the feeling of an explorer discovering a new landscape.
Something happens inside you.
Instead of “I am anxious. How do I get rid of this?” Instead of immediately judging it, suppressing it, explaining it, or acting it out, we become curious about what is actually happening.
This is different from rational analysis. Self-awareness is part of the alchemy. This is immediate present-moment discovery.
Some things cannot be learned by talking about them.
You can understand why you withdraw and still withdraw.
You can understand your attachment pattern and still lose yourself in intimacy.
You can understand your anger and still have all the repercussions when it comes out.
You can know intellectually that conflict doesn’t mean abandonment and still feel your whole system lock up when someone disagrees with you.
This is why many of us hit a ceiling with talk therapy and self-development. As one of the early pioneers of body-centered therapy said, “You can’t think your way into a new nervous system.”
We learn experientially.
This is why this work is experiential, where the body is a doorway to the psyche.
IN THEIR WORDS
“ I used to carry this deep exhaustion that could take months to recover from. Now my system resets within days, even after intense stress. It’s been almost two years, and that change has stayed with me.
I know that something very deep and primal came out. Roger has a great intuition. You just know that he’s gone through this stuff himself.
He’s not some out-of-touch teacher. He’s very much human, very much in the thick of it. But he is willing to take you along on the journey with him. When you have somebody who can actually mentor you and help you to move through these sometimes very difficult states, it’s just the biggest gift we can give ourselves.”
A NEW DOOR HAS OPENED ON WHAT’S POSSIBLE
The Neuroscience of Accelerated Development
Over the past 16 years, advances in neuroscience and clinical research have fundamentally changed our understanding of how the brain and nervous system learn, adapt, and change.
We now know that the patterns shaping our lives are more changeable than we once thought.
Profound, life-changing shifts don’t have to be unpredictable rarities that only emerge after years of insight, therapy, or effort. Under the right conditions, the nervous system can learn differently, sometimes with surprising speed.
One of the most important developments has been research into memory reconsolidation. For nearly a century, the prevailing view was that once long-term memories were established, they were essentially fixed. Since its first demonstration in humans in 2010, more than 20 studies have successfully demonstrated how an emotional learning can be updated, weakened, or even ‘unlearned.’ Clinical work has identified specific conditions that can produce what researchers have described as “extreme therapeutic effectiveness.”
We’ve built those conditions into the way we work.
WHAT IF YOUR FUTURE DIDN’T TAKE YEARS?
In a year of conventional therapy, you may encounter only a handful of moments when an old pattern meets an experience that genuinely contradicts it.
And often, that contradiction is talked about rather than felt.
We take a different approach.
In Ontodelic Inquiry, we intentionally create these moments in the body, while the old pattern is alive—and we use specific methods to recruit the nervous system’s natural chemistry for heightened learning and plasticity.
So instead of simply thinking about a new possibility, your nervous system gets to experience it, and optimally learn from it.
And we do this repeatedly.
“Invited or not, God is present.”

PSYCHEDELICS WITHOUT PSYCHEDELICS
Clients consistently describe an Ontodelic Inquiry session as "psychedelics without psychedelics.” Sessions often become profound and disorienting. Time loosens. Material surfaces that had been out of reach for years. They enter a state in which old patterns become less fixed and new learning becomes more possible, and all this happens without a substance, in a room, often over Zoom.
That’s no surprise because both run through the same neuromodulatory systems that gate learning. Dopamine, norepinephrine, acetylcholine, serotonin and glutamate signal novelty, salience, uncertainty, attention and plasticity.
Psychedelics reach that state pharmacologically. Every effective therapy stumbles into it occasionally. That's what people mean by a ‘breakthrough session.’ Ontodelic Inquiry treats those conditions as the target and returns to them many times in a single hour.
OFFERINGS & JOURNEYS
IN THEIR WORDS
“ Using a combination of deep listening and unparalleled intuition, Roger has an amazing ability to create a container where you can learn to heed the call of your own inner guidance. Through his skilled capacity for presence, in my work with Roger, I was able to truly be with what was alive for me in the moment.
Many teachers and guides will try to show you how to find the mountaintop. Rare is the guide who helps you to discover the ways you’re already there. This is Roger: a spiritual cheerleader, offering loving support and gentle guidance for those who wish to embrace their own innate power and wisdom.”
“In these 7+ years, he has helped me completely transform myself, cultivating what I most deeply desire in my life. With deep intuition and a loving heart, Roger creates a comfortable, compassionate space for difficulties stored in the body to be felt, seen and transmuted.
He brings a discerning clarity, inspiring courage for me to confront challenges at their root. I am eternally grateful for the self-discovery of Roger’s counsel.”
“Roger is a master tracker - among the finest of minds. Yet he’s soft. There’s a patient heart to this man that naturally opens the paths of insight within me. Bountiful kudos are owed to him for facilitating a process that is as disarming and gentle as it is incisive, deep, and clear.
With the loving attention characteristic of a session with Roger, I’ve tenderly but powerfully acquainted myself with some of the disorganized memories and sensations that underlie my pain… finding golden nuggets of healing, connection, and revelation along the way. Working with Roger is mightily transformative. This is a substantial offering from a substantial human.”
“We were both very stubborn and would go two or three days without talking after an argument. In our last couple disagreements I was actually the first person to come and say something, which never happened before.
I feel like our communication is a lot easier now. It’s nice to take a moment and figure out where the anger or sadness is coming from instead of blaming each other. It really takes the shame away. The whole experience has been eye opening and a beautiful experience.
Whenever I look at Roger, honestly I just smile. I’ll tell you something, the whole process, not only has it been easy, but enlightening, game changing…and eye opening.”
“During our Ontodelic sessions, Roger’s guidance was timely, inviting me deeper into my unfolding experience. He was present, listening carefully and guiding me in a gentle, non-intrusive way. I felt like he really got me, got where I was, and offered ways to go deeper. Having such a confident and sensitive guide as I moved through difficult material was invaluable.
Over the last four months, I’ve felt myself unfolding into greater depth. I’m enjoying a deeper sense of belonging: in my life, with my work, with my wife. I’m experiencing a greater sense of being seen for who I am, and finding more room to contribute my gifts freely.
This is very powerful work, and to step in with confidence you need a guide you can trust deeply. Roger is experienced, confident, sensitive, and trustworthy. Highly recommended.”
“Over the past six months, our relationship has shifted dramatically. It’s a lot better than it was before, where we wouldn’t have listened to each other as much and things would turn into blowouts. Now we’re able to catch things midstream and shift them, which takes more intention, but leads to real resolution and integration instead of brushing things under the carpet. We’ve really learned to use the tools we have, and that process has helped us grow ourselves in a focused and laser-intense way, facing ourselves and meeting each other from that place. We even created a shared mythos for our relationship — ‘Fire and Water Making Steam’ and ‘Grow in Ourselves and Grow in Love’ — because we feel like we’re truly growing in ourselves and then growing in love, expanding our beings and integrating past experiences into something richer together.
After 20 years of raising a child, it feels freeing to rediscover who we are as a couple and to learn what that means for each of us now. Through this work, we’ve experienced what it’s like to let layers be pulled aside so more energy can flow, to feel like an empty bowl with capacity, and to take up space fully while also appreciating the journey instead of rushing toward a destination. I’ve realized that the step I’m on right now is important, and I can expand while being present, letting the next step come when it’s ready. Overall, the enrichment from doing this work is priceless. It’s the gold that feeds your soul, and it’s worth the angst and contraction because it leads to expansion, depth, and becoming the best version of ourselves.”
A PRACTICE FIELD FOR DEVELOPMENT
A SAFE BRAVE DOJO FOR NERVOUS SYSTEM INTEGRATION:
Our psyche is fundamentally relational: we are born in relationship, wounded in relationship, and heal in relationship. Some work can be done alone at our homes, on a meditation cushion, or by listening to podcasts, but in this case, the therapeutic alliance and organic trust we form is at the heart of a more comprehensive transformation.
I am here to walk with you on the edge of your curiosity and fascination to help you discover firsthand what can become possible in this work. The space between us is part of the alchemy. I am your friendly skilled training partner, fostering a sense of safety and bravery in the healing relationship.
Together, we bring attention to the subtle movements of your experience.
We create enough safety for exploration and introduce enough challenges at the edge of capacity, for development to happen.
We notice what your system automatically does.
We invite curiosity where there was judgment; experimentation where there was habit; and choice where there was compulsion.
A dojo implies:
It’s a safe space, a brave space, and a dynamic space - Safe enough to heal and feel new experiences of care, receiving, play, and well-being. Brave enough to meet deeper layers and integrate them. Dynamic enough to expand your repertoire.
You don’t just understand something - you ‘practice’ it in a way that the body is involved.
You encounter activation and visceral charge, and we meet those experiences with skillful compassion and care and insight.
New capacities become embodied in a way that you no longer have to think about them. They become ingrained. New possibilities can become increasingly familiar to your system.
We slow down and deepen, creating a soft spacious somatic cushion, when working with the past, discharging traumatic shock.
We build the future by weaving new mature embodiment into the nervous system.
You are in a practice field where you transform & integrate your core patterns.
This therapy is really a mature form of adult play. As a British psychoanalyst said, “Playing is itself a therapy.” Children don’t sit around discussing how to develop social competence or how to integrate new skills. They play: chase, hide, play house, fight, cooperate, compete, lead, follow, lose, win, repair, take risks, try again.
Through this work, the adult nervous system learns, develops, and fundamental change takes root.
The question stops being “Why am I like this?”
And becomes: “What can I do now that I couldn't do before?”
Can I stay? Can I speak? Can I listen? Can I repair? Can I take up space? Can I express myself deeply in my life? Can I let someone come close? Can I tolerate not being in control? Can I act when I'm afraid? Can I experience my own power without needing to defend it? Can I remain connected to myself while remaining connected to someone else?
A genuine arc occurs as supported self-discovery becomes self-mastery.
“I believe that the Earth is the most likely place for love to flourish. We are surrounded by life and beauty, and we have the capacity to experience deep connection and intimacy. Of course, there will always be challenges and difficulties, but I believe that the rewards of love far outweigh the risks.”
― Ron Kurtz

A GREATER SELF & WORLD
Expanding the range of ways you can meet life.
Becoming capable of more of yourself.
The North Star of this work is not to ‘fix’ or ‘get rid of’ a feeling or issue. It’s not just relief: “I understand this situation and I feel a little better. I got it off my chest.”
The aim of this work is stepping into an experience where we address and meet the needs of the issue, but you also outgrow the issue (and similar issues) by expanding yourself.
When our nervous system is locked in one or two gears, much of our suffering arises from that limitation.
Practically, what does this look like? Imagine a person who can only easily access appease or withdraw, on a day-to-day basis. This is how their nervous system learned how to relate and over the years, it has led to many emotional and relational issues.
Through this work, they become someone who can also assert, negotiate, challenge, play, repair, collaborate, lead, follow, leave or reconnect. These capacities that previously felt inaccessible, now feel increasingly natural and at hand.
So together, we teach the nervous system to have access to more of oneself.
That's an expansion of your social degrees of freedom — your embodied capacity to participate in a larger life. More responses become neurologically available to you.
So much potential of what’s available to us can remain locked in the unconscious: a lot of power, desire and eros, agency, play, intuition, embodied knowing. Parts of us become quarantined from our nervous system, because at some point they weren’t safe, permitted, or met with the skill and atmosphere they needed to fully emerge and be integrated. All of that is on the table in this work.
And we don’t begin from zero. Each of us is living inside an inherited pattern, carrying the unlived life of our parents, culture, and those who came before us. This is a multi-generational journey, and it asks us to be real and honest with ourselves, because the greatest problems of life can’t be solved. They are outgrown.
"Life at its best is a creative synthesis
of opposites in fruitful harmony."
— Martin Luther King Jr.,
‘A Tough Mind and a Tender Heart’
As a philosophy, it’s interesting. On the level of the embodied nervous system, it becomes radically practical — and life-changing.
It's your birthright to make more of your humanity available.
“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”— Mary Oliver
Greater intimacy & love without self-abandonment.
Greater autonomy without isolation.
Greater power without domination.
Greater vulnerability without collapse.
Navigating conflict without rupture, met and navigated with greater capacity.
Greater adventure without losing yourself.
Greater creativity without needing certainty.
Greater agency & choice without needing control.
Greater aliveness without needing chaos.
As your nervous system develops a larger repertoire, your world changes with it.
You don't need to quarantine your life inside a safe, controlled therapeutic bubble. You don't need life to become smaller, safer, or less challenging.
You become more capable of meeting its moments.
And perhaps that is what it means to become who you truly are.
“Is my soul asleep? Have those beehives that labor at night stopped? And the waterwheel of thought, is it dry, the cups empty, wheeling, carrying only shadows?
No, my soul is not asleep, It is awake, wide awake. It neither sleeps nor dreams, but watches, its clear eyes open, far-off things, and listens at the shores of the great silence.”
— Antonio Machado
